Have you ever been stuck on something within your mind, repeatedly, for days, weeks, months, even years? I came up with this trick a long time ago to stop thinking about an ex-partner after a breakup. Back then, the visual that worked surprisingly well, was to see the thought above my head, just like a cartoon cloud, then I vacuumed it all up. Silly, I know, but it works!
This will train your mind to stop bringing up something bothersome to you again. The idea came to me long before I got into studying the mind. More recently, after getting out of a long-term relationship, I switched it up to imagine a tidal wave crashing over the thought. When that got stale, I froze it in ice, then let it shatter.
You could also see this painting as tears that clear out emotions.
As you may know, I create the visual that comes to mind and interpret it afterward, or throughout the process of its creation.
The sea turtle flows through the depth of these emotions,
reminding us that life is a long journey,
and this is mere a moment of it.
He holds the emotional strength and stamina to carry on.
Trusting his inner guidance to travel many miles to and from his homeland,
we can also remember to remain grounded,
at home within our shells,
to safely navigate the tides of change.
