Eastern white pines live bountifully across the swath of the United States between Maine and Florida. The needles are edible raw or for use in tea. There are sappier pines. If you extract and harden the sap, you can treat cuts, splinters, sores, boils, or sore muscles.If you let the pine cones dry, the edible nuts from within them can drop out. Roast these or enjoy them raw.
